Frequently AskedQuestions
What is Day Dreamin Exotics, LLC (DDE)?
DDE is a limited liability corporation that specializes in automotive events. We provide a unique driving
experience with some of the most exclusive cars in the world. Participants get the opportunity to experience
five exotic sports cars from behind the wheel.
You will drive each of the following five cars from DDE fleet:
- Ferrari 360 Modena
- Porsche 911 Turbo
- Dodge Viper
- Aston Martin Vantage
- Lotus Exige
Occasionally, due to unforeseen circumstances, the car line up is subject to change. In this case, we will replace the car with a comparable car.
What are the Driver qualification requirements?
- Ages 21 to 70 years old.
- Valid US or Canadian driving license with good driving record.
- Current auto insurance policy.
- Ability to drive a car with manual transmission.
There are no specific weight or height restrictions. Drivers over 250 lbs or 6'4" may be somewhat uncomfortable due to the small cockpits of exotic cars.
How much does the DDE Tour cost?
For only $499 per driver + TAX (sales tax, Tourism Tax etc...) you can to drive five of world’s finest exotic sports cars. The price includes hospitality (continental breakfast, non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, photos of the experience, and DDE gift).
How does the Program work?
Based on the group size, the driving experience will last approximately 4 hours. Each driver will experience approximately 20-30 minutes per car. You will drive cars on an open road route selected by the DDE staff. In a typical program you will alternate cars and you will be a passenger during some segments until each person has driven all five cars. You are accompanied the entire route by the DDE staff, but they are not in the car with you. The group of cars is lead by a pace car and followed by another staff car so as to manage the group on the open road. This is to ensure no one gets lost or to identify and resolve any problems that arise along the route. This format makes it possible for our guests to focus on their driving and enjoy the cars.
What is the event schedule?
You will meet the DDE staff and other drivers at the DDE garage at your arrival time, which will be either 8:00 AM or 2:00 PM. Upon arrival, you will start with a continental breakfast or lunch buffet. You will then attend the drivers briefing and receive the itinerary, which will give the order that you will drive each car. The pace car will lead the tour on the prescribed route based on weather and driving conditions. Stops will be made along the route to change drivers. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are available in the pace car. The tour will end at the DDE garage. At that time, you will receive your gift packs and a CD of the photos will be mailed to you within 1 week.
Are the cars difficult to drive?
No. However, exotic cars are more powerful and responsive than a typical car. The operation, controls and special features of each car will be presented during the briefing. Some cars will have a manual transmission (stick shift). These are racing gearboxes that require experience. If you have not driven with a manual transmission before you will not be able to drive these cars. Inexperienced or clumsy use can lead to expensive clutch repair bills. We apologize if this eliminates you from participation. If you have not driven a manual recently, we strongly recommend that you practice beforehand with a manual car. Some cars use "sequential manual gearboxes" or SMG transmissions. This technology, also known as E-Gear, F1, and DSG is found in many new high performance cars. It is a manual gearbox where the clutch and gear selection is handled by a computer. You change gears with a paddle shifter located on the steering wheel.
How do I register?
Simply click on Book a Tour on our website or call us at 888-945-9775. You must be 21 years or older to drive, have a valid driver's license and auto insurance. You will pay a $50 non-refundable booking fee, which will cover driver’s license and insurance checks. This will be applied toward the price of the tour.
What is the "briefing" all about?
The briefing will cover DDE rules, route information, and group selection. There will be a pace car and a closing car. Experienced DDE staff members will drive these cars and will be in contact with each other during the event. Your passenger can ride with you in all five cars. Every participant must sign a disclaimer (a copy is available upon request), and must agree to follow all DDE rules. You must present your driver’s license, a copy of your insurance card, and a credit card upon arrival. The insurance deductible is $2500.
What kind of roads will the route include?
We have a route that covers 150 miles that incorporates a combination of sweeping turns, twists and straights. We also try to select roads that have little traffic and offer amazing scenery. We will always make sure there are at least two restroom stops during the driving experience. Snacks and bottled water are available in the pace car for your enjoyment. To avoid congested areas some freeway and highway routes may be included. Our goal is to find roads that will allow you to enjoy the drive to the fullest extent. This event is not about racing, reckless driving or inappropriate speed.
Can I bring a passenger/guest?
You are allowed to bring a maximum of 1 guest passenger per driver at a cost of $150. Passengers will have access to all activities except driving. Passengers must sign a disclaimer and agree to follow all DDE rules. Your passenger can ride with you in all cars. Children under 12 are not allowed as passengers. You must register your passenger at the time you register. Passengers are allowed as space permits however priority is given to our drivers.
What is the dress code?
We request that each participant be dressed appropriately. Sport casual is ideal. The pedals on some of the cars are close together so sport shoes are a good choice. Please be careful not to wear a belt or pants with metal decorations, as they will damage the leather seats. No safety equipment is required.

What happens if it rains or snows?

DDE cannot be responsible for cancellations due to weather. We will make every effort to accommodate drivers to the most convenient solution possible.
Is there a cancellation policy?
If you cancel your participation for any reason other than a medical emergency (backed up by a doctor's note) the following cancellation fees will apply:
Up to 15 days prior to the event: Full refund.
